Bandar Seri Begawan, 26 May 2025 – Brunei Intellectual Property Office (BruIPO), in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property (WIPO) on organized a workshop entitled “Promotion of the ASEAN IP Register: Gearing Toward a Data-driven IP Strategy in Business.” The workshop aimed to raise awareness and promote the use of the ASEAN IP Register platform as a strategic tool to support businesses and innovation.
The ASEAN IP Register is an online platform that provides access to data and statistics from the ASEAN Intellectual Property Offices. This platform is designed to help intellectual property (IP) owners, researchers, and other stakeholders in conducting IP searches and making informed decisions related to markets, innovation, and the protection of intellectual property assets.
During the workshop, participants were introduced to the various types of intellectual property, the registration process and its importance, and how the ASEAN IP Register can be used to support business strategies. The session also demonstrated how data from the ASEAN IP Register can be used for market research, products development, and marketing planning.
The participants had the opportunity to engage and share ideas directly with IP experts from WIPO and BruIPO on the management and protection of intellectual property. The event brought together approximately 80 participants from government, academia, businesses, and the legal sector in the fields of intellectual property, to foster awareness and understanding of the role of IP in supporting economic growth and building business competitiveness at both national and regional levels.

Bandar Seri Begawan, 26 Mei 2025 – Pejabat Harta Intelek Brunei Darussalam (BruIPO), dengan kerjasama Pertubuhan Harta Intelek Dunia (WIPO) pada telah mengadakan bengkel bertajuk “ Promotion of the ASEAN IP Register: Gearing Toward a Data-driven IP Strategy in Business.” Bengkel ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesedaran dan mempromosikan penggunaan platform ASEAN IP Register sebagai alat strategik untuk menyokong perniagaan dan inovasi.
ASEAN IP Register ialah sebuah platform dalam talian yang menyediakan akses kepada data dan statistik daripada Pejabat Harta Intelek di negara-negara ASEAN. Platform ini direka untuk memudahkan pemilik harta intelek, penyelidik, dan pihak berkepentingan lain dalam mencari maklumat mengenai harta intelek serta membuat keputusan strategik berkaitan pasaran, inovasi, serta perlindungan aset harta intelek.
Semasa bengkel, para peserta diperkenalkan kepada pelbagai jenis harta intelek, proses pendaftaran dan kepentingannya, serta cara penggunaan data dari ASEAN IP Register untuk menyokong strategi perniagaan. Sesi ini turut menunjukkan bagaimana data daripada ASEAN IP Register boleh dimanfaatkan untuk penyelidikan pasaran, pembangunan produk, dan perancangan pemasaran.
Para peserta juga berpeluang berinteraksi dan berkongsi pandangan secara langsung dengan pakar-pakar harta intelek daripada WIPO dan BruIPO mengenai pengurusan dan perlindungan harta intelek. Bengkel ini menghimpunkan kira-kira 80 peserta dari sektor kerajaan, akademik, perniagaan dan perundangan dalam bidang harta intelek, bagi memupuk kesedaran dan pemahaman tentang peranan harta intelek dalam menyokong pertumbuhan ekonomi serta membina daya saing perniagaan di peringkat negara dan serantau.
